“Lateral Damage” is a true crime podcast series that I worked on as an Associate Producer for Sports Illustrated. The story focuses on Mariet Ford of Cal Football fame who executed one of the most memorable plays in sports history and was later convicted of murdering his pregnant wife and their 3-year-old son. After 20+ years in prison Ford maintains his innocence. The release of this series has been delayed but you can read more about it and listen to a preview of the series which I edited below.
